Green Natural BC House with LEED Standards by GLR Architect

me design takes an important step in the exploration of new materials, such as black granite and white concrete appearance, in addition to the character which give the home the large number of steel elements that are visible. BC House had the great fortune to have clients who have a genuine interest in implementing sustainable practices at home, largely following LEED standards without official certification as a priority for them. With these principles in mind, the house was designed from the outset as a Sustainable House, so it has a formal study of energy efficiency, analyzing sunlight and prevailing winds at various seasons of the year.

The home not only has different insulation systems, such as double walls with insulation based ecological, or double-glass clerestory low emissivity (Low-E), but also with systems rainwater harvesting and water treatment irrigation, solar panels to heat the pool and garden lighting, solar water heaters, hydro heating systems for reducing energy consumption, heating systems such as skylights liabilities oriented south, and a landscape project that respects the existing vegetation and reforest the land with native vegetation, long-lived, mainly consisting of several varieties of oaks.
